With a continued focus on internal development, moveero are pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Smith to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO), with immediate effect.

Mike Smith has been Managing Director of moveero’s manufacturing plant at Telford in the UK since 2019. During his tenure, Mike has established Telford as a site with consistent and industry leading customer and production service levels and one of the world’s most efficient off-highway wheel production facilities. Building on this success, Mike is now in a position to take on the role of COO for the company.

In his new role, Mike will report directly to moveero’s CEO, David Geraghty, taking responsibility for the company’s manufacturing, procurement, quality, and operations teams across its global locations. Mike will continue to support moveero’s global sales team by ensuring consistent, market leading customer support and being a reliable partner to its customers.

With more than 30 years’ experience at the site, Darren Dobson will take over as Telford Plant Director.

Commenting on the appointments, David Geraghty said: “Mike brings a wealth of experience to this role, not only from his work over the last five years, where he has consolidated our position as a world leading manufacturer, but also in a number of previous senior manufacturing and general management roles in the aerospace and automotive sectors.

“Along with Mike’s and Darren’s appointments, we also recently announced the promotions of John Madsen to European Commercial Director and Gianpietro Brame to Global Chief Engineer. This quartet alone brings more than seven decades of business, customer and market experience to our management team. Promoting from within in this way brings great continuity for our customers, which together with our stability of ownership, means that we are in great shape to meet the challenges of our ever changing market.

“Mike will play a key role in our future development, leading our experienced team worldwide and working closely with our customers to make sure we continue to meet their needs. I look forward to continuing to work with Mike and the rest of our team over the coming months and years as we drive our business forward and continue our commitment to evolve every day.”

moveero has thanked Michael Groebner for his support in driving the business to new service levels in his interim role. He will now be supporting Aurelius in a different capacity and continuing to advise moveero.
